Exuberance - The Passion for Life - Kay Redfield Jamison

I was walking through Page One at VivoCity last Sunday when I stopped at the Psychology shelves and picked up this book. The title caught my attention among all the other, more morbidly titled books in that section.

I flipped through the book to get a feel of the read. The Champagne of Moods in Chapter 5 was what I glanced through. It was pretty captivating, a description of the state of mania where it's feels like the a certain golden bubbly liquid.

It was one of the longest chapter, and I finished the book in a week, neglecting my black swan that I bought earlier on. Reading that chapter made me kind of exuberant as well. I could relate, just like the author said she could.

All in all, it was a pretty good read for someone who'd like to find out more about exuberance. I believe it should be the only way to live life - with passion and this book captures the spirit of it very well.

Please forgive this entry, it's been eons since I last wrote and I'm rusty...
